The Latino Health Insurance Program (LHIP) is a not for profit community-based organization 501 C3 in the State of Massachusetts, which is dedicated to increase access to medical care for minority residents from the Commonwealth and to reduce health care disparities. We provide multiple services including a wide array of preventable health care and social services.

Among our health care services, we provide woman health, immunizations (COVID-19 vaccines, flu, childhood vaccines), adult health screenings and management for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and some types of cancer, such as breast, cervical, and prostate cancer to mostly low-income MA residents. Our social services include assistance to individuals to apply for medical, dental coverage, SNAP and older adult services, such as Homemeds, Medicare assistance, among others.

All our programs are available in multiple languages, which include English, Spanish, Portuguese, Uganda and we most recently added French Creole. We look to increase access to medical care for minority residents, connect them to appropriate health care services, and help them to adopt healthy behaviors by participating in evidence-based education through our Diabetes Prevention Program.
