Syed Raza

Syed (he/him/his) joined the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) in July 2020 as SIF's Fundraising and Development Co-op through Northeastern University's Cooperative Education program. At SIF, Syed worked with the Development team to maintain donor records, support grant writing, and assist with the Annual Report. After his six-month engagement in this role, Syed was hired as SIF's part-time Development Associate through spring of 2021. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing and Minors in Political Science and Data Science.

Syed was born in Pakistan and immigrated to Houston, Texas as a child. He lived in Texas until he moved to Boston to attend Northeastern. Syed previously completed a Marketing Co-op at Wayfair and has worked in various campus offices and research institutions at Northeastern. He helped establish the First Generation Low Income Student Union at Northeastern and currently serves as the President of the organization. Syed has a passion for community organizing and is hoping to learn more about the philanthropic sector through working at the SIF.
