Kassandra (she/her/hers) joined Social Innovation Forum (SIF) as their first Communication & Events Coordinator. In her role, Kassandra works on SIF’s external communications and events using an annual communications plan. Kassandra is responsible for drafting and revising communication materials such as blog posts, website content, and social media. She also works closely with team members to plan and execute SIF’s public-facing events, including the Social Innovator showcase (and two follow up mini showcases), the Winter Reception, and the Social Issue Talk Series.
Kassandra is a recent college graduate from Bridgewater State University, with a degree in Political Science and a concentration in Communications. Kassandra has undergraduate experience working with various nonprofit organizations. In Summer 2017, she enrolled as a student in the summer academic enrichment program with The Washington Center in Washington, D.C. and interned with Free-Muslim Association Inc., Center for De-Radicalization and Extremism as a research assistant. Her research topics included women in impoverished regions, children of Northern Africa, and rise of extremism in Europe. Recently, she started an online blog project “Embrace Women in Art” focused on telling the stories of underrepresented women artists through an interview series. She has a passion for story-telling and enjoys engaging with other entrepreneurs. She is excited to be a new member of the Social Innovation Forum and looks forward to an eventful year.
