As the Senior Communications and Brand Coordinator, Kassandra (she/her/hers) works on external communications, oversees the production of Social Innovation Forum's (SIF) public-facing events, and develops annual strategic communication plans to share the organization’s work with a wider audience and strengthen the organization's brand. She is responsible for drafting and editing communication materials that support SIF's mission of accelerating social change in Greater Boston. She also plans and executes on SIF’s public-facing events, including the Social Innovator Showcase, the Warm Winter Welcome, and the Social Issue Talk Series.
Kassandra joined SIF in 2019 as the organization’s first Communications and Events Coordinator. Kassandra has a certificate in Nonprofit Marketing and Strategic Communications from Arizona State University Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation. Kassandra is interested in deepening her knowledge of marketing, communications, public relations, and social media within the nonprofit sector. Kassandra also acquired a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a concentration in Communications. While attending school full time, Kassandra collaborated with various nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C., through The Washington Center, including Free-Muslim Association Inc., Center for De-Radicalization and Extremism as a research assistant, and Young Leaders Institute, as their marketing intern and later serving on the Youth Advisory Board. Kassandra has a passion for storytelling and enjoys engaging with other leaders in SIF’s marketplace.
