Zane Diamond

Alumni & Nonprofit Network Program Coordinator

Education
BA in Jewish Studies, Vassar College

Zane (any pronouns) joined the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) in 2023 as a Program Coordinator for the Alumni & Nonprofit Network Program team. Ze works closely with the Director of Network Engagement and the rest of the Network Engagement Team to put together the Alumni & Nonprofit Network Newsletter and assist in coordinating and planning events run by the program. Zane is excited to get to meet and work with Eastern Massachusetts’ nonprofit leaders and help connect them with SIF.

While at Vassar, Zane was drawn into Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging work while working in the offices of Religious and Spiritual Life and Contemplative Practices and LGBTQ+ Center, eventually writing hir senior thesis on the nature of rights in obligation under Jewish and Liberal legal structures. After graduating in 2020, Ze worked for Keshet, an organization furthering LGBTQ+ rights in Jewish life. As the executive assistant, ze was able to learn from members at all levels of the organization about how to make strategic decisions as a nonprofit to best benefit the communities served while sticking to institutional values. Ze still occasionally trains Jewish institutions on how to foster inclusion and belonging in their work.

In hir free time, you can find Zane cooking, writing, playing in a folk band, studying Talmud, and making art. Ze hopes to be able to go to Rabbinical school eventually, but for now is content learning all ze can from living life.
