    Haley House is dedicated to helping those made vulnerable by the harshest effects of inequality move toward wholeness and economic independence. Haley House's social enterprise café serves as a vehicle for teaching skills to under-employed adults and teenagers through a bakery training program that offers six months of paid instruction in basic baking and food service skills.

    Hearth is dedicated to the elimination of homelessness among the elderly. Hearth's Outreach Program seeks to reach all people ages 50 or above who are currently living on Boston's streets and in homeless shelters or who are at risk of homelessness.

  • Incarcerated Youth at Play

    Incarcerated Youth at Play, an initiative of the Actors’ Shakespeare Project, serves court involved youth under the custody of the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services (DYS), and sometimes in treatment centers connected to the Department of Social Services (DSS). Over a period of 3-16 weeks, the organization's teaching artists work in residence in treatment and assessment centers creating an ensemble with youth who explore Shakespeare’s plays and write, sing, dance, rehearse, and perform.
