  • Boston Learning Center

    The Boston Learning Center's innovative after-school program motivates economically and academically challenged youth who are at risk of failing in school by helping them to change negative peer pressure into positive peer support and discover what motivates them to learn and how they learn best.

    Boston Urban Youth Foundation’s Building Futures Educational Initiative addresses the issue of violence through early prevention strategies for youth most at risk of future violent behavior—those on a trajectory to school dropout. Building Futures targets chronically truant middle school students and equips them with concrete academic and life skills that ensure school engagement, high school graduation, and college access.

  • Boston Youth Wrestling

    Using wrestling as a tool and a motivator, Boston Youth Wrestling, teaches youth to successfully overcome socio-economic challenges that lead to educational gaps, poor health and negative community relationships, imparting skills such as self-reliance, discipline and commitment to others that apply both on and off the mat, in school, and beyond.

  • Breaktime

    Breaktime is a 501(c)(3) non-profit working to end young adult homelessness. They operate Boston’s first transitional employment program for young adults experiencing homelessness in which young adults launch their careers, nurture their talents, and serve their communities. Through this early intervention that focuses on financial and personal empowerment, Breaktime helps prevent long-term chronic homelessness and supports young adults in becoming changemakers.

  • Budget Buddies

    Budget Buddies provides financial education for low-income women by partnering with local social service agencies to build six-month programs that combine classroom instruction with personal, one-to-one coaching.
