More than a Book Club

A Collaborative Discussion and Learning Session

-

One Congress Street, Suite 113, Boston, MA 02114

We invite you to join the Social Innovation Forum community for a meeting of the SIF Book Club as we enjoy interesting books and stimulating discussion that will raise our awareness about pressing social issues. For this SIF Book Club session, we welcome two SIF Social Innovators, Boston CASA and Silver Lining Mentoring, for a facilitated discussion of: A Chance in the World: An Orphan Boy, a Mysterious Past, and How He Found a Place Called Home by Steve Pemberton. With discussion of the book and the local issues it raises (the author's story takes place in MA!) led by the expert staff from Boston CASA and Silver Lining Mentoring, this session will provide space for important questions around the challenges facing youth in foster care and will examine some promising solutions to addressing those challenges and supporting young people.

Space in the session will be limited to allow everyone to participate in the conversation and time will be allowed for both large group as well as small group discussions. If you are interested in joining the SIF Book Club, please contact Carolyn Shaughnessy at cshaughnessy@socialinnovationforum.org.
