Performance Report for 2016 Social Innovator Cohort Published

A look at successes, challenges, and lessons learned

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am excited to share with you the Social Innovator Performance Report from the 2016 Social Innovators. These reports are an opportunity to share with our community both the progress and lessons learned by these nonprofit organizations over the past 24 months in the Social Innovator Accelerator.

As you will see from these reports, innovation involves a certain amount of testing and adjusting course in response to learning and changes in the environment. Some groups have experienced linear growth, some have taken advantage of emerging opportunities to go in new directions, and others have moved along more challenging paths.

Upon completing the Accelerator, these groups will transition into the Social Innovation Forum’s “forever” portfolio. As alumni, they will continue to have access to training and learning opportunities, pro-bono support from our in-kind partners, and a peer network of other greater Boston social impact leaders.

We would like to extend a special thank you to our 2016 Track Partners. Their financial support and true partnership in all aspects of the Accelerator – from defining the topic areas, to actively participating in our six-month selection process, to supporting these groups throughout their time with SIF – has been invaluable.

Thank you as well to all of those who have been part of the Social Innovation Forum’s “marketplace” for social change over the past two years. The progress and growth these groups have seen would not have been possible without the support of our funders, in-kind partners, and donors who have given generously of their time, talent, and resources to help accelerate the work of these organizations.

We hope you will continue to engage with these organizations, follow their progress, and offer support along the way as they evolve.
