BA in Journalism and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Northeastern University (expected 2020)

Michelle (she, her, hers) joined the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) team in July 2018 as the Program Co-op through Northeastern University’s Cooperative Education and Career Development program. In this role, Michelle manages all logistics for application evaluation for Social Innovation Forum’s Nonprofit Accelerator. She also provides support for Capacity Camp and other program events such as Encore and Winter Reception. 

Michelle is a rising third-year student at Northeastern University, pursuing a degree in Journalism and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies. At Northeastern, she is the editor-in-chief and contributing writer for independent multimedia publication, The Onyx Informer, that amplifies the voices of individuals from marginalized communities on campus. She is also an executive board member for Sisters in Solidarity (SIS), a student affinity group for black women and non-binary femmes where dynamic stories and unique experiences are shared. Michelle is motivated by SIF’s dedication to promoting social change and fostering meaningful networks and is eager to support their work.
