Matthew Powers (he/him/his) joined the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) team in January 2019 as the Development and Operations Co-op through Northeastern University’s Cooperative Education and Career Development program. In this role, Matt supports the development team with managing the SIF database, preparing development collateral materials, and providing research to ensure fundraising goals. Matt additionally helps in the day-to-day operations of SIF's coworking space for nonprofit organizations. Matt also assists in running the monthly Approach and Impact lunches, which introduce potential donors to SIF's mission.

Matt is entering his third year as a student at Northeastern University, pursuing a BS in Business Administration with a Management Concentration. Matt became involved with nonprofits in his hometown in upstate New York, where he volunteered with organizations supporting land conservation and community empowerment efforts. Because of this and other experiences, Matt has become passionate about helping people and promoting nonprofit engagement. He's excited to gain exposure to the Boston nonprofit sector and support SIF's efforts to bring about positive social change within the community.
