Candidate for a BA in Political Science and International Affairs with a minor in East Asian Studies (expected graduation 2022)

Kiera (she/her/hers) joined the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) in January of 2021 as SIF's Fundraising & Special Events Co-op through Northeastern University's Cooperative Education program.  At SIF, Kiera will be working with the Development team to maintain donor records, support grant writing, and assist with planning special events including the Social Innovator Showcase. 

Kiera is currently in her third year at Northeastern University, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Affairs with a minor in East Asian Studies.  She previously completed a co-op at the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office (AGO) working with the Scheduling and Advance team.  After the completion of her co-op, Kiera continued to work at the AGO for another 6 months, answering over 5,000 calls to two of their public phone lines.  Kiera is a Boston native who is passionate about making change within the Greater Boston community.  Previously, Kiera was the President of the Girl Up Greater Boston Coalition which is composed of over 90 middle school, high school, and college chapters across New England.  Through the Coalition, Kiera planned multiple educational and action-oriented events for club members to attend.  Kiera also fundraised for educational opportunities and leadership training for girls in countries like Malawi and Guatemala.  She is excited to learn more about the nonprofit sector and continue to make an impact in the Greater Boston community.
