Volunteer OpportunitiesThe Social Innovation Forum seeks a variety of volunteers to help local nonprofit leaders implement their plans for social change and gain visibility across a broad array of resources providers. The Social Innovation Forum is a ground-breaking initiative that aims to shift the flow of financial and non-financial resources at the local level by building a Social Impact Investment Community that offers time, relationships, talent, and money to support the most effective, efficient and sustainable organizations working to solve social problems. Our annual spring showcase event brings together people from business, government, academia and the nonprofit world who want to invest in the featured Social Innovators and support the development of a cohesive, local social capital market. Our structured consulting process includes:
Opportunities for Business Professionals The Social Innovation Forum reaches out to the business and professional communities to supply critical skills in our work with Social Innovators. We provide our Social Innovators -- all selected through a rigorous due diligence process--with business consulting, coaching, and capacity-building in order to build their own ability to grow their organizations and create social impact. Business and professional volunteers are essential ingredients in the value we deliver to our Social Innovators, and last year 80% of our Social Innovators identified their volunteer coaches as either "important" or "significantly important" in their experience with the Forum. In 2009 we are seeking 12 volunteer coaches to work with the six Social Innovators we will select to prepare them for the showcase event. Please access the drop-down box under the "Get Involved" tab for more detailed information about the Executive Coach and Presentation Advisor positions. In addition to our positions for Executive Coaches and Presentation Advisors, we are also looking for graphic designers to help design and create the PowerPoint presentations that our Social Innovators will present at our showcase event. Finally, we frequently use interns to work in our office and welcome inquiries from interested parties. More information about each of these positions is available under the "Get Involved" tab, above. If you are interested in any of the these positions, or wish to understand how we use volunteers to support the growth and development of our innovative nonprofit groups, please send an inquiry email to info@socialinnovationforum.org. |
