Mike Haroz has joined the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) for the 2017-2018 program year through the Access to Justice Program, a project of the Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission and the Lawyers Clearinghouse that enables senior lawyers and retired judges to partner with nonprofit organizations, courts, and other public service entities to increase equal justice for all. As a Fellow, Mike will help build out SIF’s mentoring program for SIF alumni organizations and coworking members, while engaging in a variety of special projects to advance the organization’s work.

Mike brings to this role more than four decades of professional experience in the legal field and extensive volunteer experience in the U.S. and abroad. He is currently a senior of counsel at Goulston & Storrs, where he previously served as a co-managing partner of from 1994-2000, after originally joining the firm in 1980. Prior to that, Mike served as a member and co-founder of a public interest law firm and later as an attorney at and the Associate Director of Greater Boston Legal Services. During this period, he handled and directed a variety of civil and criminal cases, including class actions and several jury trials, dealing with legal and human rights of low-income clients. Mike now devotes much of his time to volunteer legal work and uses his experience and expertise to advise businesses and nonprofits. He looks forward to continuing this work through his Access to Justice Fellowship at SIF.
